“What is Theology?” call for submissions

There is, perhaps, no more important task for theology than to determine what, exactly, this discipline is. Before we can say anything about God, creation, and the relationship between the two, we have to know the larger context in which we are working.

Is theology akin to law? Is it science? Is it art? What make theology “good”? Or “faithful”? Can everyone do theology, or just specially trained people?

In this first call for submissions these are the ideas we want you to address.

This call for submissions will be open until Friday,March 16, 2012. To participate, make a video, upload it to the video hosting site of your choice (make sure your video is embeddable) and click the “Submit a video” link up in the header to enter the contest.

Once all submissions have been received, the community will have one week to vote on their choice, and another call for submissions will be issued for a new topic.
